Draw-A-PI Privacy Policy
Privacy Policy for Draw-A-PI
Effective date: February 15, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Draw-A-PI (“we”, “our”, or “us”) handles information when you use the Draw-A-PI desktop application (the “App”).
1. Summary
- We do not create user accounts.
- We do not run ads in the App.
- We do not sell personal information.
- The App lets you connect third-party AI/API providers using API keys you enter.
- Data you choose to process (such as prompts and images) is sent to the provider(s) needed to fulfill your request.
- Most app data is stored locally on your device.
2. Information We Process
2.1 Information you provide
Depending on features you use, the App may process:
- API credentials you enter (for example Kie.AI, OpenAI, Vercel AI Gateway, ImgBB, Reve/Rave, Hugging Face, and other providers you configure).
- Prompts, chat messages, and generation/edit parameters.
- Images you import, upload, generate, or edit.
2.2 Information stored locally on your device
The App stores data locally to provide functionality and history features. This can include:
- Settings and provider configuration (including API keys/tokens).
- Prompt history, chat history, and prompt templates.
- Generated/imported image files and associated metadata.
- Image registry/tag databases for gallery/history features.
- Optional debug/API logs if debug logging is enabled by you.
- Optional usage/cost tracking data for supported providers.
Typical local storage location:
~/.draw-a-pi/on macOS/Linux%USERPROFILE%\\.draw-a-pi\\on Windows
3. How We Use Information
We use information only to operate the App features you request, including:
- Authenticating requests to third-party APIs using your provided credentials.
- Submitting prompts/images and receiving results from selected providers.
- Saving local settings, history, and generated content.
- Optional update checks (for non-store builds), diagnostics, and troubleshooting.
4. Third-Party Services and Data Sharing
When you use provider-backed features, the App sends relevant data to the provider(s) needed to complete your request. Depending on your actions/settings, this may include:
- Your API token for that provider (in request authorization headers or equivalent auth fields).
- Prompt text and generation parameters.
- Reference or source images you choose to upload/process.
Providers may include, for example:
- Kie.AI
- OpenAI
- Vercel AI Gateway
- ImgBB
- Reve/Rave
- Hugging Face
- GitHub (for update checks in non-store builds)
- Ollama (local endpoint if you configure local AI at
localhost)
These providers process data under their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party privacy practices.
5. Microsoft Store Distribution
For Microsoft Store distribution, please note:
- The App can transmit user-provided data (including API credentials and content) to third-party services when you use those features.
- Because of that, the App should be disclosed as using personal information in Store submission fields where required.
6. Data Retention
- Local data remains on your device until you delete it (or uninstall the App and remove app data).
- Remote data retention is controlled by the third-party provider that receives the data.
- Some providers may return links or IDs (for example hosted image URLs) that are saved locally for feature support.
7. Security
We use reasonable measures to reduce exposure of sensitive data, but no method of storage or transmission is 100% secure.
You are responsible for:
- Keeping your device secure.
- Protecting your API keys.
- Rotating/revoking credentials if you suspect compromise.
8. Your Choices
You can:
- Choose which providers to configure and use.
- Remove or replace API keys in App settings.
- Delete local content/history from the App and/or local app-data folders.
- Disable optional debug logging.
- Stop using provider-backed features at any time.
9. Children
The App is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction).
10. International Data Transfers
Third-party providers may process data in countries other than your own. By using provider-backed features, you acknowledge that your data may be transferred and processed internationally under those providers’ terms.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the “Effective date” above when changes are made.
